90’s lens technology, paired with a good camera equal some seemingly impossible shots.  Several years ago I took a shot of this little fellows cousin, both were about a quarter inch long and had identical markings, it’s posted on this blog if you are bored enough to look.  It was taken with a Lester Dine 105mm 2.8, arguably the best 1:1 macro lens ever made, mounted on a Pentax Kx.  In contrast this was shot with a relatively cheap mid 90’s Vivitar 28-300mm super zoom mounted on a Pentax K1. Not a bad shot if I say so my self.
